This blog started as a collection of resources for those seeking more information on the decline of the ELCA. It has now evolved into a blog the ELCA's shallow attempt to destroy our Church after we chose to sever ties with them.
John 3:21

We are holding you, our brothers and sisters in Christ, in our prayers as you approach your vote. God is good & will guide you along the way so that you may serve him well.
"And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose." (Romans 8:28)
Your Pastor deserves a sabbatical after the trials he has been through to usher you from the ELCA to the LCMC. Not all Pastors would put up with the ridiculus games from the synodical office. Yours did, and you are blessed all the more for his determination of being bold and courageous. I know that his reward will be great in heaven, but why not give Pastor Mark a reward here on earth too with some well deserved time off.
The vote, however positive, does not end Faith's relationship with the ELCA, until the September 2010 meeting of the Northern Illinois Synod Council.
Until then, Pastor Gehrke remains rostered with the ELCA, and cannot be rostered with LCMC. He will thus continue to serve Faith as an ELCA-rostered pastor until at least the September meeting.
Thank you Lord for seeing us through this. If we'd have known it was going to be like this ahead of time we'd have been exhausted before the journey ever began. We looked to you for strength, we drew on your word for wisdom and direction, you never abandoned us and never will. We love you and are grateful for the struggle because we are even closer to you and one another.

I guess I don't understand this comment. By what authority would this be? We've separated from the ELCA and chose to cut ties and did so legally. At this point WHO CARES what the ELCA thinks or says? what can they do? kick us out? They're nothing more than puffed up talking heads who are trying to bolster their "rostered" numbers by not taking those off who have legally left in order to further deceive those who are blind and deaf to their ways. So END by who's definition? who's authority? who cares.

You are certainly called to God's purpose.
Peace, Pr. Martha
I pray that those who will vote yes will pack the worship space and the ballot box with "I vote yes, we will leave the ELCA!"
