Because Jesus is the unique and universal Savior, there is a large hope for salvation, not only for me and others with the proper credentials of believing and belonging to the church, but for all people whenever or wherever they might have lived and no matter how religious or irreligious they may have proved to be themselves. The ELCA is clearly stating that you do not have to be religious to go to heaven (IE; believe in Jesus). How is that?
I was wondering where you found this on the website. I have heard many negative things about the ELCA, but have not seen any citations, or links to the actual website. Can you please provide the link for me, so that I can see it for myself.
