However, in a report to ELCA leaders, she expressed concern about continuing declines in mission support income to the churchwide organization, down $5 million so far this year. Fianlly they are reporting the truth. Oh, and they said to the delegates at the 2009 ELCA Assmebly that their vote would not affect the giving. With so many churches fleeeing to LCMC, NALC, AFLC, and even Mo. Synod, there is a drop in giving to the ELCA but not to mission and minsitry. Instead of paying for electric and heat at a huge building, and not paying for the salaries of people in that huge building, the money is fianlly being invested to make a difference for the Kingdom. They are not lost dollars, they are dollars invested where the rubber meets the road.
