60'th Anniversary celebration

Today former active members of Faith Lutheran Church ELCA held a 60'th year anniversary celebration at a local supper club.  It was not recognized by Faith Lutheran church or by any of it's present leadership. It was sponsored by the group known as "Saving Faith". It was so sad to see the announcement in the religious section of one of our local newspapers Quad Cities Online These people will be sorely missed and our doors will always be open. This whole situation is not about the ELCA or the LCMC or our Pastor. It is about salvation and following scripture as God has instructed us to do.  I pray for each of these members.

These sweet, wonderful older members of Faith are being told things about the current leadership of our congregation that are not true. We invite and welcome them back to their church home, Faith Lutheran Church of Moline, Illinois.... same as we always were, same as we always will be. We honor those who have gone before. Welcome home.

My mother had a hard time realizing that the old LCA was as bad as it was in endorsing abortion on demand. Corrupt church leaders depend on the trustful nature of long-time members. A little deceit goes a long way.

If the ELCA is so sinful and unclean, why is Pastor Gehrke still rostered there, and not with the LCMC?

Pastor Mark has been dual rostered with LCMC since our first vote in November. We are active LCMC members

Many of those members are the ones who helped make Faith who you are today. Their legacy is not in the bricks and mortar, but in the changed lives of all who believe in the Lord Jesus Christ. It is too bad that the ELCA has turned it's back on these members and changed the doctrine which they believed in for years....and still can if they become LCMC. No one is taking their building away, it is the ELCA who is taking their dotrine away. I am sure that they would be welcome back, because all Faith wants to do is remain the same church they have been: proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ, following Luther's doctrines of sin and forgiveness, and being a place where people can belong, believe and become. What is going on now at Faith has a direct correlation to what those who celebrated 60 years of Faith have been saying for decodes and generations...follow Jesus not an agewnda driven by those who think they have power but by those who walk in humility.

According to the Secretary of the ELCA, ELCA pastors can not be dual rostered. Choose one they say. I know that Pastor Mark has chosen the LCMC and the LCMC has chosen him.

I know that you are having your second vote in a week, and I pray it passes. A year from now will you be celebrating your 61st year as a chuch or your first year as a LCMC church?
